Kateřina Vráblíková is a lecturer at the Chair of Political Science and International Comparative Social Research, Department of Political Science, University of Mannheim. Her research and teaching focuses on political participation, political attitudes and values, social movements and research methods. She received her PhD at the Masaryk University, Czech Republic in spring 2012. Her dissertation focused on how the institutional and cultural context of a nation affects non-electoral political participation in Western democracies. She was a Fulbright visiting fellow at the University of California, Irvine in 2010/11 and visiting researcher at the University of Mannheim in Fall 2011. She is a researcher at the Institute of Sociology at the Czech Academy of Sciences. Her work has been accepted in Comparative Political Studies and European Union Politics.
